COMMs 101

Effective communication is crucial in fields such as law enforcement, military operations, adventure sports, and search and rescue missions. Team Wendy understands the importance of both protecting and accommodating the needs of operators with their helmets. 

Team Wendy's helmets are designed to work seamlessly with a variety of communication attachments. In this article, we will provide a list of communication accessories that can be directly attached to the helmet and which ones require an adaptor to be used with the helmet. 

Peltor COMTAC Series I-VI: 

The Peltor™ COMTAC series I-VI is compatible with any Team Wendy helmet that has a rail system. All you need is the Team Wendy Peltor™ quick-release adaptors. You can easily connect the earpiece to the Peltor™ quick-release and the hearing protector to your helmet using the Peltor™ quick-release adaptor. 



Safariland TCI Series: 

You are able to pair your Safariland® TCI series with your Team Wendy helmet, all you will need is the Liberator® Adaptive Suspension Kit – Helmet Mount. This allows you to easily change between different wearable configuration depending on application and comfort. The best way to attach the Liberator® Adaptive Suspension kit with a Team Wendy helmet is to attached them to the back of the rails.  
 

OTTO Engineering NoizeBarrier Tac: 

The OTTO Engineering NoizeBarrier® Tac are compatible with your EPIC™ Helmet reverse dovetail rail and the back of the Exfil® 3.0 rail system. All you need are the NoizeBarrier® Team Wendy Helmet Mount Kit and you are good to go!  
 

MSA Sordin® Supreme: 

The Sordin Supreme can be mounted on the Team Wendy 3.0 rail systems using the Unity™ MARK™ for 3M™ Peltor™- Style Headsets and the Sordin Arc Rail Adapters (SARA). To mount the Sordin Supreme to the helmet, you will need to remove the earpiece from the headset and mount it to the Unity™ mounts. These will then fit in the top rail of the helmet.  
 

Ops-Core Amps: 

Team Wendy offers the Platform Adaptors™ Ops-Core AMP® Communication Headset. Unity™ Platform Adapter™ was created to attach the USSOCOM-contracted AMP™ Tactical Headset from Ops-Core® to non-ARC™ railed helmet platforms. The Platform Adapter™ will convert the AMP™ Helmet Arm to interface with Team Wendy® EXFIL® Rail 2.0 and EXFIL® Rail 3.0 helmet's accessory rail systems, as well as M-LOK rails used by manufacturers such as MTEK® and Hard Head Veterans®. 


 

Invisio: 

If you have the Invisio T7, they will work on the EPIC™ reverse dovetail with the T7 ARC rail adapter. If you have a Team Wendy Exfil® helmet with 3.0 rails, the Invisios T7 only work well with the Axl Advanced RAC Link Kit and the Unity™ Platform Adapter™. You will need to select the T7 when selecting the RAC Link Kit.
