Team Wendy Wins Tender for Brazil’s National Law Enforcement Agency

CLEVELAND (July 12, 2021) – The Brazilian Federal Police Department (DPF) has chosen Cleveland-based Team Wendy^® to provide its ballistic helmets.
 
Team Wendy, a leading provider of exceptional head protection systems, announced today that DPF purchased 161 EXFIL^® Ballistic SL helmets in Coyote Brown along with MultiCam^® helmet covers. The tender was secured through SPEAR Tactical Solutions, Team Wendy’s partner in Brazil.
 
The Brazilian DPF combats drug trafficking, human trafficking, terrorism and other federal crimes nationwide. It also operates as Brazil’s maritime, airport and border security. The police department includes the National Central Bureau (NCB) that liaises between Brazil and INTERPOL and operates under Brazil’s Ministry of Justice and Public Security.
 
Mike Silva, Team Wendy’s military market manager, said that the ballistic helmet’s light weight and scalable design offers DPF the flexibility to perform the task at hand.

It has a complete system weight of 2.2 pounds, meets a ballistic rating of NIJ Level III-A (according to NIJ STD 0106.01/0108.01) and exceeds ACH blunt impact protection requirements. The Team Wendy helmet cover creates a secure fit to the helmet shell that protects the helmet finish. Exterior loop patches offer space to attach gear or patches, and fabric slots provide better cable management for tactical communications systems.
